Two people have been arrested in Woolwich after drugs and cash were found during a stop and search.
Woolwich officers stopped a car yesterday and suspected that the passenger was hiding something in their waist band.
A search was carried out and a quantity of drugs and cash were found.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and one of the suspects has since been charged.
The charged suspect has been remanded in court for this morning – July 29, 2022.

A spokesperson for Greenwich Police said: “Officers from Woolwich Town Centre Team were out yesterday on mobile patrol and had cause to stop a vehicle in SE18.
“Passenger seen to hide something in their waist band.
“Further search carried out and a quantity of drugs and cash found.
“Two arrested for possession with intent to supply.
“One of the suspects has been charged and remanded for court in the morning.
“As for today, several stop searches carried out in the town centre as part of Summer Nights.”
