A man has been attacked on a bus in Lambeth in front of his girlfriend and young children.
On Sunday, June 26, at around 1.30pm the 37-year-old victim was travelling on the 156 bus close to Wandsworth Road with his family.
The man told police that a woman boarded the bus before trying to get back off it.
As the bus pulled away, she began to scream and kick at the bus’s doors.
This distressed his young children, and the victim asked the woman to calm down.
Another suspect, who is believed to have known the woman, then allegedly punched the victim in the face.
The woman then attacked the victim with deodorant by spraying it into his face, before both suspects got off the bus at the next stop.
He suffered minor facial injuries during the assault.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the two people in the CCTV images to contact them, as they need to speak to the pair in connection with the incident.

“At about 13:30hrs on Sunday, 26 June, a 37-year-old man was assaulted whilst on board a Route 156 bus close to Wandsworth Road, SW8.
“The victim and his girlfriend, who been travelling with their young children, told officers that a female suspect [Suspect 1] boarded the bus before attempting to get back off.
“As the bus pulled away, she began to scream and kicked the doors.
“Her behaviour caused the children to become upset, and the victim asked her to calm down.
“At this point the suspect confronted the victim.
“A man [Suspect 2] – who is believed to have been known to the woman – then punched the victim before the female suspect sprayed what is believed to be deodorant into the victim’s face.
“Both suspects got off at the next stop.
“The victim suffered minor facial injuries in the assault.
“Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating, and have released CCTV images of two people they need to identify and speak with in connection with the assault.
“Anyone who recognises them is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 6032/08Aug.”
