A 53-year-old has been charged with murder after a man was found dead at a home in south-east London.
Christopher Baptiste, of Loampit Vale, Lewisham, is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
He is accused of the murder of Sonny Booty, 36, who was found dead at a residential address in Loampit Vale on Sunday.
Mr Booty’s family have been told but formal identification has not yet been carried out, the Metropolitan Police said.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Christopher Baptiste, 53 (7.08.69) of Loampit Vale, SE13 was charged on Monday, 15 August with murder.
"He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 16 August.
"On the morning of Sunday, 14 August, police received a report of a deceased man in a residential property on Loampit Vale.
"Officers attended the address alongside London Ambulance Service and a man, believed to be 36-year-old Sonny Booty, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification awaits.
"Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation."
