Transport for London (TfL) is encouraging passengers to avoid travelling on the affected and if you are, then to plan ahead.
Transport bosses are cautioning passengers that there will be very few services running and other routes will be busier than normal.
The strike action comes over disputes in pensions and job safety for members of the Rail Maritime and Transport union (RMT).
