As thousands of workers on the London Underground, Overground and buses are set to take strike action this week, travel services are expected to be severely disrupted. 

With many tube lines suspend or having their regular timetable rescheduled, it will line operating at a limited capacity.

But there are a few services that are will be up and running with the DLR, Tram, and Elizabeth Line. 

However, the services are expected to be a lot more busy than usual with many options to use other transport links to get around the city. 

One running line, in particular, is facing serious impacts with the newly opened Elizabeth Line currently facing severe delays. 

Is the Elizabeth Line running during August strikes?

The newly opened Crossrail project is set to run its normal timetable schedule during the strikes. 

However, as the line undergoes upgrade plans and is still connected to stations, it will be closed to carry out the work.

With services between Paddington and Abbey Wood operate on Monday to Saturday only, between 0630 and 2300.
