A HOUSE has been left damaged after a fire in Croydon.
The fire broke out in Claygate Crescent just before 7pm on September 8.
A part of the first floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by the blaze.
No injuries were reported following the incident.
Fire investigators believe the blaze was accidental and caused by smoking materials.
The fire was under control just before 7.35pm.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Addington, Biggin Hill and Woodside fire stations were at the scene.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Fires caused by smoking materials including cigarettes, roll-ups, cigars and pipes, result in more deaths than any other type of fire.
“Never leave lit cigarettes unattended and make sure you stub them out properly and dispose of them carefully when you have finished smoking.
