A man from Thornton Heath has been charged in connection with four “high-value” burglaries after allegedly being on the run from police for seven years.
The burglaries date back to 2016 and the cash and jewellery stolen reached a value of £100,000.
Anton Krasnioi, born in 1981, was arrested during the early hours of Wednesday, October 5 after police raided a home in Croydon.
He was wanted in connection with eight burglaries in total.
A Merton Police spokesperson said: “Anton Krasnioi, born 1981 of Thornton Heath, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday 5th at an address in Croydon following intelligence led manhunt enquiries.
“Kalaj was on the run from police for 7 years and wanted for 8 burglaries.
“He was charged with four high-value residential burglaries dating back to 2016, with a total loss of close to £100,000 worth of cash and jewellery.”
