A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing at a home in Plumstead.

The incident happened in Adamston Road just before 5.30pm yesterday.  

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance were called to the scene. 

An incident response officer and an ambulance crew also attended.

The man was taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.  

His injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.  

A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.  

He remains in custody at a south London police station.  

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 5.28pm on Sunday, 9 October to reports of a stabbing at a residential property in Adamston Road, SE18.  

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.  

“A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds.  

“His injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.  

“A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.  

“He remains in custody at a south London police station.” 

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:  

“We were called yesterday (9 October) at 5.31pm to reports of an incident on Admaston Road.  

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an incident response officer and an ambulance crew. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. 

“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
