One of the most easily recognised landmarks of Chingford, All Saints (the Old Church) pictured in c1910.
A popular stop for cyclists at this time as they could admire the picturesque ruin and the commanding view of London from the top of the mount.
Dating back to 1181, the church underwent a number of changes over the centuries and was finally restored in 1930 through the generous donations of Louisa Boothby-Heathcote.
