Children visiting Epping Forest’s largest emergency food agency will not miss out on Christmas this year thanks to help of one of its biggest supporters.
Pearly Queen of Clapton Teresa Watts is a patron of 3Food4U and she is using her festive appeal to make sure every child that visits a community hub will receive a gift from Santa.
But she needs your help to put a smile on a child this Christmas.
Teresa said "It's that time of year again! I have been contacted by so many requesting to donate to my Christmas appeal to support families in severe deprivation.
“It’s so sad when parents have the guilt of not being able to give their child a present on Christmas morning.
“I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can donate a small gift for a child between 0 and 15 years, Father Christmas will give them to the children visiting 3Food4U at all their Christmas hubs.
“I am patron of this wonderful charity and know they will be given to families most in need, no gift is ever too small.
“If you would like to contribute, please message me. I'm forever grateful for the love and support you give me year after year, and I cannot express how much I appreciate you all.”
Chair of trustees Pesh Kapasiawala said: “We're so fortunate to have Teresa support our charity 3Food4U.
“She hasn't been well recently and is still undergoing treatment, so this is a selfless act of support for the vulnerable in our community. We wish her a speedy recovery.
“Please donate what you can to put a smile on a child this Christmas.”
The charity would be delighted to hear from you if your community group, church, school or business would like to work with us to support the community.
3Food4U continues to urgently need long-life food donations.
