Newham pubs made a splash this year as they cleaned up at the 2022 Loo of the Year Awards.
Three Wetherspoon pubs in Newham have won acclaim for the quality and standards of their lush lavatories.
The Golden Grove in The Grove, Stratford, has been awarded a gold rating.
Swiping one further are the The Miller's Well in Barking Road, East Ham and The Hudson Bay in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, which both received platinum ratings.
Paul Johnson, manger of The Miller's Well, said: "We are delighted with the award. Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors."
Loos of the Year inspectors made unannounced visits to thousands of "away from home" toilets across the UK.
Entries were judged against various criteria, including maintenance and décor, cleanliness, accessibility, hand-washing and drying equipment and overall management.
WCs each received a grade of bronze, silver, gold, platinum or diamond, with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.
Becky Wall, managing director of the Loo of the Year Awards 2022, added: "The toilets at the three pubs have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard and are both clean and well maintained.
"The pubs deserve their awards."
