A pub in Lewisham will celebrate the World Cup with decorations, heated outdoor seating and two large outdoor TVs to screen England games on.
During England’s upcoming matches, The Summerfield Pub in Lee will put on evenings for fans with food, live music, and the chance to get a pint for £4.
The pub is currently bedecked with England flags and twinkling lights with a large marquee tent ein the front seating area.
Guests can watch the football in comfort with an outdoor heater at a 55- inch screen TV under their marquee outside surrounding by fairy lights.
Or, there’s an even bigger 75-inch screen TV that guests can also watch the football on in the backyard seating area.
For guests wanting to stay inside there’s the choice of two TV screens which will also be showing the football.
Pub owner, Joe Courtney said: “We’ve fully decorated the pub and we’ve put a large 75-inch screen outside in the back garden and a 55-inch screen outside our front seating area.
“We’ve done this so that we can incorporate more people who want to come in and watch a match with us.
“We can probably accommodate around 150 people with the outside spaces.”
Guests will also be entreated to live music where a singer will perform a mix of England songs after the game.
The Summerfield is also offering specials on pizzas and drinks, with pints being £4 each whilst England are playing.
Joe added: “We’ve needed this boost.
“November is usually a lull for us in the lead up to Christmas.
“The World Cup has been fantastic for us to help with revenue and getting some hype around the business again.
“It really does get the atmosphere going and it’s one of the reasons why we get so many visitors.”
Booking is not necessary, and the business is operating on a first come, first served basis to avoid disappointment.
Entry is free into the pub and people are also welcome to bring their dogs along too.
The Summerfield Pub is located at 60 Baring Road, London, SE12 0PS only a short walk away from Lee Station and is open daily between 12am-12pm.
Joe said: “We’ve been busier than a lot of other places purely because we’ve put a lot of effort in.
“People come for the atmosphere and it’s honestly such a great think to be able to be a part of.”
