Imagine if you could have a burger that you were able to customise by its toppings instead picking out ingredients that you never really wanted. Or having just one type of flavoured chicken wings? Luckily, Junglees has all the solutions to all the fussy eaters.
Established in 2021, Junglees set out its mission in opening their first restaurant on Barkingside High Street: where choice was not limited in creating your own “pick and mix burger” where you would have an eye opening selection of exotic toppings to choose from. Junglees also provides a fair share of sauces which include chipotle, garlic mayo, your basic ketchup, mayo, BBQ and also featuring eye opening selections such as prawn cocktail, chilli and chilli jam as part their unique range of mouth-watering sauces and toppings.
As I sat down at Junglees with their owner Nomaan Ramzan, he explained to me how he “saw a niche in the market”. He spoke about his inspiration from Five Guys and how at an event that happened with his friends where they were “picking out several toppings off burgers that they’d ordered at a restaurant.” He also talked about how there wasn’t “a halal customised gourmet place”. Encouraged by his friends, this sparked his entrepreneurship and he decided to create this fast-food restaurant with his aims to satisfy the ones that wanted their “perfect” burger.
“Your flavours, your choice” was their main ethos which truly reflects their values in producing excellent quality food that is freshly made. Nomaan went on to expand on their preparation methods telling me how all their food is “fully cooked to order” meaning the chefs will only start cooking the food once you finished ordering: ensuring freshness is never sacrificed. Nomaan also iterated how their ingredients are “never frozen” meaning their ingredients are always delivered to their restaurant on the day. As well as freshness, all their meat is fully HMC certified which means it is halal. Junglees doesn’t just offer burgers, their menu offers a delicious range chicken wings as part of their “Wild Wings” variety as well as a unique range of sides that include halloumi fries, hot dogs to all the way to sweet potato fries. They also provide a wide variety of desserts and drinks such as milkshakes, sodas, waffles and American pancakes too.
Having tasted quite a lot of their menu, which was mouth-wateringly delicious, it’s fair to say Nomaan has a bright future planned ahead for Junglees. He aims to spread his restaurant nationwide franchising across the UK and going global at some stage. Nomaan has also planned to expand his current menu even further. Having sat in their restaurant many times, their interior was very warm and classy: feeling more like a professional restaurant than a standard fast food place. If you would like to find out more about his restaurant and menu, you can visit the Junglees website at https://jungleesburgers.co.uk/ which you’ll also find their social media links there. Junglees also provide online orders across all major delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Just Eat.
