There are increasing concerns about the welfare of a woman who has been missing from Beckenham for three weeks.

Leila Gaind was last seen on Saturday, November 26 and has not contacted her family since.

There is no information to suggest the 69-year-old has come to harm at the hands of anyone else, but she is considered vulnerable.

Leila was captured on CCTV carrying a black tote bag and black handbag on Beckenham Lane at around 7.55am on November 26 - walking in the direction of Bromley Magistrates' Court at the junction with London Road.

She is approximately 5ft, 7inches tall and was last seen wearing black trousers, a black coat with a black fur hood and black shoes.

Leila has shoulder length brown/ grey hair.

Leila's family has appealed to her directly: "Please contact us, we are worried and want you home for Christmas, we need to know you are safe."

Detective Inspector Mark Hine, from the Bromley, Croydon and Sutton Missing Persons Unit, said: “We are increasingly concerned for Leila’s welfare, as is her family. She has not been heard from in almost three weeks nor have there been any sightings of her.

"There is no evidence to suggest there is any third party involvement, however we still need the public to get in touch with any information about her whereabouts to bring Leila home safely to her family.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a woman missing for three weeks.

"Leila Gaind, 69, from Beckenham was last seen on Saturday, 26 November and has not contacted family since.

"There is no information to suggest that she has come to harm at the hands of anyone else, however she is considered vulnerable.

"Leila was captured on CCTV carrying a black tote bag and a black handbag on Beckenham Lane at about 07:55hrs walking in the direction of Bromley Magistrates’ Court, at the junction with London Road.

"Leila is approximately 5ft 7ins tall and was last seen wearing black trousers, a black coat with a black fur hood and black shoes. She has shoulder length brown/grey hair .

"Her family and officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare, particularly given the recent cold weather.
