Urban chocolatier. A dessert parlour that has been around for quite a while. With it several branches in many different locations, inchuding: Ilford, Romford, Upton Park, Wembley, Wood Green, Walthamstow, Whitechapel and soon to come in Barkingside.
After interviewing the manager of Urban Chocolatier (UC), it's become apparent that although the customer service is of utmost importance to their staff, there are still several encounters with 'undesirable' customers "which usually occurs roughly two to three days a week."
Arshad Ali, the owner of the Ilford branch, (29) mentioned that "customer service is usually the main thing UC is known for and focusing solely on what the customers really want is what's important, which ultimately resulted in having regular customers" due to customer satisfaction.
It was also revealed that although there has been a severe cost of living crisis, which we are all suffering through, this "has not affected the way of obtaining ingredients at all, more so it has affected finding more experienced, capable staff to work," which is a one difficulty that many food and dessert outlets face due to the aftermath of the pandemic and this newfound cost of living crisis.
The most popular items on the menu, according to Mr Ali, is the 'choco funday' and least popular is realised to be the mocktails, however this has nit stopped UC from having an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars.
