A woman's body has been discovered in Eltham by people who were out walking on Boxing Day.
Police were called to Oxleas Woods at around 2pm on December 26.
Officers believe they know who the deceased is and have informed her next of kin.

The death is being treated as unexpected, but initial enquiries suggest it isn't suspcious.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "On Monday, 26 December, police were called at 14:00hrs to Oxleas Wood SE9 after the body of a woman was discovered by people out walking.
"Though formal identification awaits, police believe they know who the deceased is and have informed next of kin.
"The death is being treated as unexpected, though initial enquiries suggest it is not suspicious.
"A post-mortem examination will be held in due course."
