From July 2022 The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has been showing at the Gillian Lynn Theatre in London. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is the first book in the Narnia Collection, written by C.S Lewis and published in 1950. In 2005 it was adapted into a film, directed by Andrew Adamson. The book and film follows four siblings who have been evacuated to safety during World War Two. The magic begins as the youngest stumbles upon a wardrobe which leads her to the mystical land that is Narnia. This is no ordinary world; it is blanketed in snow and is ruled by the evil White Witch. Upon finding out that the lives of the creatures of this world are in jeopardy they know they need to do what they can to save them.

The Gillian Lynn Theatre is situated in the heart of Covent Garden and is a five minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station. At the Gillian Lynn Theatre one gets to see this live, with an astonishing cast, elements of surprise and fantastic ensembles. It is a fabulous adaptation of the book and film; the set is cleverly crafted with the cast helping out during scene changes, this way the audience barely notices the usual commotion that happens during a scene change. The White Witch embraces her role superbly, it is as if you can feel her icy-glares piercing through the audience. All four children have a powerful dynamic between them, making them the perfect cast as the siblings. Isabella Brown from London has recently seen it with her family and says, “My younger siblings felt like they were being transformed into a whole new world. It truly was a magical experience!”. During the interval one can buy ice cream and there is a selection of drinks and snacks, the auditorium felt civilized and well-organised.

This show is perfect for families who want a night out together, full of fun and excitement.
