We’ve put together a guide of to some fun things to do in south east London this Easter half term from Spring fairs to Easter bake-offs.

We’ve rounded up some of the best free and affordable activities that you can get up to with the kids to keep them entertained this Easter half term.

These are some of the things you can do in south east London:

Join in the Easter fun at Woodlands Farm Trust

When: April 4 – April 13

Woodlands Farm Trust at Shooters Hill will be having a week of Easter activities from easter crafts to an easter egg trail.

On April 4 from 11am-2pm, children will be able to take part in easter themed crafts for £3 per child.

On April 6, kids will be able to take an Easter trail through the farm to find all the Easter pictures before claiming a chocolate egg prize.

Admission is £2 per child and no booking is required.

Hunt for an easter egg at The Bunny Hop Trail at Bluewater Shopping Centre

When: From March 30 – April 16

This free event will offer visitors at Bluewater Shopping Centre the chance to find 10 golden eggs dotted about on Easter-themed installations throughout the shopping centre.

Visitors can pick up a free trail map and a set of bunny ears from the Concierge desk by M&S before beginning their hunt.

Once guests have found all 10 eggs they can exchange their completed map for an Easter treat.

Visit the Spring Fair at Horniman Museum

When: April 8 from 10:30am – 4:30pm

The Horniman Museum will be hosting a Spring Fair where guests can take part in an itinerary of activities throughout the day.

There will be crafting workshops, as well as bubble performances, music, dance workshops, face painting, a bouncy castle and an easter bonnet parade.

Tickets for this event must be booked in advance.

Explore the grounds at Eltham Palace and Gardens

When: April 1 – April 16 from 10am-5pm

Over the half term period Eltham Palace and Gardens be offering an adventure quest for visitors to take part in activities and explore the grounds to win a chocolate treat.

Visitors can take part in a hunt for clues and take part in challenges like egg rolling and an egg and spoon race.

Visitors will also be able to find Easter eggs and will be rewarded with a certificate and a chocolate prize.

The quest costs £2 which is an additional cost on top of your ticket price.

Join in an Easter bake-off at the Bromley Glades

When: April 7 - April 8 from 11am-4pm

For two days visitors will be able to take part in a number of Easter baking challenges at designated kitchen zones in the Glades.

There will be a number of different dietary options including gluten and dairy free treats and bakes will be judged at the end with “Star Baker” badges handed out to all the participants.

The bake-off will also be joined by the character of “Bertie” the Easter bunny, who will be on hand to give helpful hints to the young bakers.
