There has been a lot of discussion on which type of TV is better, Neo QLED or OLED. OLED is an older technology, and it has millions of self-lighting, colour changing pixels, meaning that each pixel has control of itself and is the ideal technology to achieve perfect black but not ideal if you want more vibrant colours. Whereas Neo QLED relies on very accurate rays of light that light many pixels at one time and hence it is much brighter which makes it great for gaming and watching sport and any sort of movies. However, Neo QLED’s are only available from Samsung and are a bit thicker than OLED’s as they are nearly an inch in depth. There are also some Cons in OLED TVs as they tend to have a high chance of the pixels burning in leading to faint marks of things that you used to watch before. OLED TVs are also very fragile as their thinness can cause them to shatter even with the smallest of contact. Unlike Neo QLED’s, OLEDs are available across a variety of manufacturers. A recent Neo QLED TV owner, Roshni Shah said “I am really enjoying use my new TV as there are much more colour variations and gaming and movie watching is top tier on this Neo QLED TV.” Currently these are the only 2 major competitive technologies, there will be many more advances to these in the future making these TVs more affordable.
