In April a number of south east Londoners were jailed for various crimes including a child rapist, a murderer and a flasher.

Here's a rundown of the criminals who are now behind bars.

Billy Grant

Billy Grant, of Dunkery Road in Mottingham, was jailed after he was convicted of five assaults and possession of a knife.

The 32-year-old had been out of prison for just a month when he assaulted a woman on two occasions.

After he was arrested he assaulted a police officer before being released on bail.

While he was on bail he attacked the woman again, this time using a knife, and attacked a Primark security guard in Bromley.

He was jailed for three years and three months.

Michael Walker

Michael Walker, of Thornsbeach Road in Catford, was jailed for dangerous driving after speeding through the back streets of Lewisham and Southwark at 50mph. 

The 32-year-old, who was already disqualified from driving, refused to pull over for police then led them on a 40 minute chase through London.

He drove on the wrong side of the road, went the wrong way round multiple roundabouts and at one point reversed towards police cars.

The chase came to an end when he abandoned his car in Rotherhithe Tunnel and was arrested.

Walker was high on cocaine at the time of the chase.

He has been jailed for 18 months.

Sean Brady

Sean Brady, of Marlborough Close in Orpington, was jailed after he was caught with indecent images of children as young as three-years-old.

The 54-year-old chose to represent himself at an Old Bailey sentencing hearing.

In a long speech he told the judge that paedophiles have to lie about why they're there in prison, saying the time he spent in custody previously (also for having images of children) had an impact on his mental health.

He broke in tears as he said: “I did not interact with any of those girls in the videos, nor would I want to, neither now or in the future.” 

Through tears Brady added: “I resigned from my job and will probably lose my flat, depending on sentencing.” 

Brady was jailed for two years and six months.

Yusuf Aydin, Benedict Paul, Jack Davies and another

Yusuf Aydin, Benedict Paul, Jack Davies and another attacker who cannot be named because he is under 18, have been jailed for killing 21-year-old Eltham man Bartosz Wyrzykowski.

Bartosz, also known as Bartek, was attacked by the four as he was walking to the shop with his girlfriend on February 8 last year.

It was the fourth attacker, who cannot be named because he is under 18, delivered the fatal blow by stabbing Bartek with a machete style knife.

Aydin, Paul and Davies were all found guilty of manslaughter, while the fourth attacker was found guilty of murder.

Bartek's mum described him as a "wonderful boy with a heart of gold".

Aydin, Paul and Davies were jailed for a combined 32 years. The fourth attacker was given life with a minimum term of 17 years.

Alvin Tuitt

Alvin Tuitt, of Boone Street in Lewisham, was imprisoned for 10 years after pleading guilty to rape and attempted rape of a 12-year-old girl.

On October 10 the 12-year-old girl was at Maryland station when she was approached by Tuitt. 

The 24-year-old leant her a power pack to charge her phone and paid for her onward train ticket to Kings Cross. 

Tuitt then accompanied her on her journey to Kings Cross, where he then took her to a disabled toilet and raped her, then attempted to rape her again. 

Tuitt was given a 10 year prison sentence and a five-year extended sentence on licence.

Peter Hyacienth

Peter Hyacienth, of Underhill Road in Dulwich, has been jailed after he plunged a knife through a man’s skull at the Fox on the Hill pub in Denmark Hill

Jack, the victim, and a friend were stood in the smoking area with their girlfriends on March 12 last year when Hyacienth's friend Ras Barton, 27, pulled into the pub’s car park at an excessive speed. 

Hyacienth and Barton got out the car and asked whether they had a problem.

A fight soon broke out during which Hyacienth stabbed Jack in the skull.

A CT scan revealed the blade had penetrated his skull and entered his brain. He remained in hospital for 12 days before being discharged.

Hyacienth was sentenced to eight years and one month in prison.

Petroy Martin

Petroy Martin, of Doddington Grove in Kennington, has been jailed after he raped a woman after a night out in Southwark.

The 23-year-old's actions have been described by police as vile and bestial, and he showed no remorse for his actions.

The Met said there could be other victims of Martin's vile behaviour.

He was jailed for five years and six months.

Bobby Garande

Bobby Garande has been jailed after he was caught masturbating on a Thameslink train.

The 29-year-old is a serial flasher on public transport across south and south east London.

His latest offence came on a train at Elephant and Castle. He was staring at a woman whilst masturbating.

The sex offender, who was already serving a 27 month sentence for public masturbation, was given an addition 26 weeks in prison.
