Reputation is one of my favourite albums from taylor swift the multi-award winning, multi-talented, iconic artist that birthed beautiful music since her debut in 2006. Reputation, though it came out in 2017, has stayed strong in my heart these past 5 years, and I still find myself relistening to the album every once in a while and being amazed at how much I love it.
It's honestly a crime it didn't get nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys.
Recently I've felt especially in my Taylor Swift era and to commemorate this (and to manifest a UK date being announced for the eras tour) I've decided to rate the songs from Reputation.
This is all my personal opinion and was all so hard because every song is so good (‘ I did something bad’ reference).
15) Dancing with our hands tied
It's something about the beat. In an album of Bangers, it only comes last because I couldn't make myself choose a different song.
Favourite lyrics: I'd kiss you as the lights went out, Swaying as the room burned down, I'd hold you as the water rushed in If I could dance with you again.
14) So it goes
I like the chorus but the beginning is too slow to really hook me in. I think this ranking too is to do with the instrumental and I don't really understand why he's coming ‘here dressed in black now’. Mostly though I’m just indifferent to this song but I absolutely love the whispered 1,2,3.

13) End Game
It feels evil to rank it this low as it has a very big reputation but to me, it's very repetitive and I’d prefer more of Taylor on the track but I love her rap: it’s scrumptious.
Favourite lyrics: I bury hatchets but I keep maps of where I put 'em, Reputation precedes me, they told you I'm crazy, I swear I don't love the drama, it loves me
12) King of my heart
I love the storytelling in this one and it really deserves more hype and probably a better ranking but here we are.
Favourite lyrics: Is this the end of all the endings? My broken bones are mending, With all these nights we're spending ( all of the bridge is my favourite, especially the sibilance)
11) Delicate
This was so close to being 10) but Dress… I don't really like the chorus and the tune is a bit too repetitive for me but the end makes up for it and ultimately it's a solid middle song for me.
Favourite lyrics: Sometimes when I look into your eyes, I pretend you're mine, all the damn time

Such a good song but still… no comment.
Favourite lyrics: Say my name and everything just stops, (pause. The silence is everything I don't want you like a best friend, Only bought this dress so you could take it off
9)Ready for it
PERFECT intro for an amazing album, I have no issues with it at all it gives me goosebumps.

8) this is why we can't have nice things
The perfect response to Kanye West. I love the beat, I love the lyrics, whenever I listen to it the urge to belt it becomes overpowering. Gorgeous

7) Call it what you want
I'm nearly positive I’ve cried over this song. I will call this song what I want and I want to call it a masterpiece. This is the love I want.
Favourite lyrics: I recall late November, Holdin' my breath, slowly I said, "You don't need to save me, But would you run away with me?"
6)Gorgeous
Amazing opening, middle and beginning. This song shaped me. It makes me happy and giddy, what else do you want from a song.

5) I did something bad
YES, just listen to this song. This song is the epitome of bad b*tch who you can't help but love and she deserves to be loved cause the world is cruel so she learned to be one step ahead. If the world was perfect this would be on repeat 24/7.

4) getaway car
Brilliant. There's a reason Taylor Swift is known for her storytelling. I feel sorry for Hiddleston but it was doomed from the beginning.

The baddest b*tch song ever. So good it hurts. This is my villain origin song. If this song has 100 fans I am one of them. if it has 1 that is me. If this song has 0 fans I’m just as dead as the old Taylor.

2)New Year's Day
This song makes me sad but happy. For me, it's that feeling of being unsure of your future but you know you want it to include that person. All hail New years Day everyone, truly creme de la creme

This is it… It's a very nice song. Every time I listen to it I ascend. I’d do anything for this song, it's my drug.
