A bus station was shut overnight following reports of an assault.
Walthamstow Bus Station, near High Street and Selborne Road, was closed off after an investigation launched after 11.40pm last night (June 12).
There were reports of a man assaulted in the area of High Street.
Emergency services found a man, believed to be in his 40s, suffering a facial injury.
According to the Metropolitan Police, he was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is not thought to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Waltham Forest Council warned at 1.04am today (June 13): “Please note Walthamstow Bus Station is currently closed and the area has been cordoned off with no entry or exit.”

The station remained closed for the entire morning and reopened soon after 1pm.
