A man has been jailed after he stole baby milk from a Sainsbury’s in Charlton.
Ryan Gregory Brook, 34, stole £150 worth of baby milk from the shop on Church Lane, near Charlton station, on November 11 last year.
He also stole £65 worth of laundry detergent from Wilkos in Bexleyheath on April 20.
Brook, of Cumbrian Avenue in Bexleyheath, pleaded guilty to both offences and was given a 28-week prison sentence.
Last Monday (July 17) Bexley Magistrates’ Court heard that Brook was already serving suspended sentences for stealing meat from Co-Op on two other occasions.
The court decided that because Brook hadn’t responded to previous community penalties, a period of imprisonment was necessary.
