A spokesperson from the NHS south east London ICB said: "We are working with individual practices in Greenwich to ensure that everyone in the borough can access high quality primary care services when they need them.

"As the NHS continues to recover from the impact of the Covid pandemic, while facing increased demand and recruitment challenges, we are working together to tackle the most common issues raised by patients: getting through to their practice and speedy access to appointments.

"Practices now offer more evening and weekend appointments and we are working with them to improve telephone and online access.

"Practices now also host care coordinators, who, where appropriate, can direct patients to other sources of health advice. Greenwich residents can find out more about these new services and roles in local surgeries at https://selprimarycare.co.uk/

"NHS England has also recently published the health service’s first national workforce plan and a national primary care recovery plan centred on improving access - both backed by major investment."
