Detectives have been given more time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murdering two French students.
The 33-year-old man handed himself in to police on Monday and was arrested in connection with the deaths of Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez.
Police have an extra 36 hours to question him after being granted an extension by Greenwich magistrates yesterday afternoon (July 8).
The 23-year-old students were bound, stabbed repeatedly and set alight in a bedsit in Sterling Gardens, New Cross, on June 29.
