All dog owners recognise that their four-legged pets are not only friends, but also family. So just like any other family member, dog owners realise that their pets should also be treated with warmth and care. The new dog grooming shop ‘The Dog Hut’ has opened at Carshalton High Street- serving as the local heart to impose this warmth and care for all dogs in the area.
Despite Katy, the owner of ‘The Dog Hut’, having previous dreams of pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine, she decided to pursue an exciting career in dog grooming after spending a day with her friend's mother (who was also a dog groomer). After 2 straining (yet worthwhile) years of intensive training, she was granted the chance to open her first shop in Kent, before opening another branch in Carshalton.
This new branch marks a jolt of vivacity in the neighbourhood. The soft lighting creates an inviting, tranquil ambiance to ensure that dogs are always at their most comfortable. This is particularly crucial for Katy, as she highlighted that taking care of a dog that’s nervous or aggressive is the most rewarding aspect of her job, since you “get to know that dog, figure out its quirks and likes/dislikes, and in the end- you end up getting a nice finish and then they’re also actually okay”. This serene atmosphere ensures a sense of comfort for all dogs- even if they are nervous or aggressive.
‘The Dog Hut’ is therefore flexible and can render personalised care for your dog, whilst simultaneously allowing you to connect with similar individuals that are a part of the growing community of pet lovers. Their unwavering commitment to thoughtfulness has already been admired by the local community and will continue to do so too.
