What sets this restaurant apart from the rest, is the immersive experience that exposes the customers to different aspects of both Scandinavian and Japanese customs and cultures. From incredible design to memorable dining, the customer service was attentive and amazingly fast! Naturally, the menu didn’t fail to surprise me either.
Located in near a buzzing shopping centre and beautiful markets, this Sticks’n’Sushi offers a diverse variety of dishes: with many types of sushi, delicious meats, fish, salads, soups and more! All of which were very high-quality and filling, truly showcasing the skills of the brilliant chefs.
From the beginning of my visit, I was pleasantly greeted with the Japanese phrase, which I was later informed meant “Welcome to our restaurant”. Already, this built a dynamic between the customers and servers that enhanced the overall experience. A waitress informed me how the use of the language built a ‘sense of community’ within the workplace, adding a unique and fun twist to the job
The atmosphere was consistently very comfortable and enjoyable despite many it being quite busy. A perfect balance between theme and style, while also not being overwhelming.
There were many thoughtful touches, like the great pacing of service that allowed time to enjoy each course. Knowledgeable staff also informed me all about the popular dishes and the history of the restaurant itself. Naturally, the appetizing presentation of the food was immaculate.
Overall, my experience in this restaurant was relaxing but also very enjoyable from many aspects, despite occasional high prices. I would definitely recommend visiting.
