A driver who caused a four-car crash on the A2 East Rochester Way in Sidcup has been fined £230.
Kevin Mccaffery, 64, of Herney Bay, was behind the wheel of a Volkswagen campervan when he was involved in a collision on January 25.
He pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention but on November 27 he was found guilty at Bexley Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that Mccaffery was driving in the middle lane when he swerved into the left lane and collided with another vehicle.
The driver of that vehicle sustained head and nose injuries.
The force of the collision also caused the victim to crash into the car in front, and the car in front to crash into the van in front.
Mccaffery was fined £230, told to pay £775 in costs and given five points on his licence.
