A festive double feature comes to Twickenham Stadium on 30 December with Big Game 15, which promises to be a magical event with back-to-back rugby matches, entertainment and world-class performances from both men’s and women’s teams.
For those keen to keep the festive celebrations going, this action-packed day is a must for dedicated rugby fans.
The main event of the day will be both the women’s and men’s teams face off against Gloucester-Hartpury and Gloucester Rugby respectively. These matches promise to be a nail biting experience as both clubs are well known for their physical and attacking style of play.
It will be an opportunity to see high quality matches at their very best.
Harlequins hope to break the world record with a target of 20,000 fans attending the women’s match, which will be a landmark for women’s sport and a great way to celebrate the end of the year.
Ellie Kildunne Harlequins Women’s and England Red Roses fullback said: “I am over the moon that Big Game 15 has moved back to the festive period. We love playing our rugby in front of big crowds and our match against Gloucester-Hartpury this year is looking to be our biggest yet.
“We had a record-breaking crowd for Big Game 14 and we are backing ourselves to go bigger this year, keeping the momentum and delivering an electric performance in front of another record crowd at the home of English rugby.“
Harlequins Men’s fly-half and England star Marcus Smith added: “Big Game is that time in the year every Quins fan and player looks forward to and growing up it was a game that I always really wanted to be involved in.
“This will be my fifth Big Game and I can’t wait to walk out onto the pitch and experience the festive atmosphere of 80,000 fans packed in Twickenham.”
Best selling DJ Joel Cory with 2.5billion streams and five top 10 singles to his name, will be performing live on the pitch between the matches.
Big Game 15 renowned for their extravagant and exciting entertainment will also be hosting exciting pyro and laser shows, live music inside and outside the stadium and free fairground rides for all the family.
Foodies will be able to enjoy eating from West Fan Village who return to the stadium this year and will be supplying snacks, meals and drinks suitable for all tastes.
For those wanting to continue the festive atmosphere into the evening, Harlequins have partnered with the iconic Clapham nightclub, Inferno who will host the official Big Game After Party.
A 40% discount on entry to the club, will be available for Big Game 15 ticket holders so they will be able to party at this legendary nightclub till the early hours.
