A police cordon that had been put in place after a stabbing in Bexleyheath has now been lifted.
A 16-year-old boy was found injured in Broadway just after 6.20pm yesterday (January 9).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.
The boy was taken to hospital for further treatment where his condition is currently unknown.
His family have been informed.
Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police for further updates on the incident.
The News Shopper attended the scene of the crime at 8am today (Wednesday) and there was no longer a police cordon in place.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 6.21pm on Tuesday, 9 January to reports of a stabbing in Broadway Square, Bexleyheath.
“Officers arrived at the scene within three minutes and provide first aid to a 16-year-old boy with a stab injury.
“His family has been informed.
“He was taken to hospital where his condition is being assessed.
“An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 5435/09Jan.”
