With the clocks changing tomorrow, the UK will finally see lighter evenings as we head towards the summer months.
As the clocks are changing on Easter Sunday, lots of people might be looking to head to a nearby pub and soak up the daylight.
So, we have compiled a list of the top five beer gardens in south east London according to Squaremeal.
The Clock House
East Dulwich
This stylish pub has mismatched vintage furniture and lots of outdoor seating.
The Clock House describes itself as “vibrant yet traditional” and has an extensive menu of food and drinks.
The Ivy House
Peckham
The Ivy House claims to be London’s first co-operative pub and back in 2021 it was named as the eleventh coolest pub in London by The Times and The Sunday Times.
It runs lots of events such as quiz nights and live music gigs.
The Old Nun’s Head
Nunhead
The Old Nun’s Head prides itself on offering customers a “fully safe, friendly and fun time away from your actual home”.
It is dog-friendly and runs regular open mic nights.
The Richard I
This pub specialises in ales, craft beers and nostalgic British food.
The Richard I is also dog friendly, so you can bring your pup along for a pint, and is only 400m from Greenwich DLR station.
Peckham Arches
Peckham
This popular south east London spot is known for its large garden terrace, two cocktail bars and an open-fire kitchen.
There are DJs every Friday and Saturday night and it serves a wide range of cocktails and sourdough pizzas.
