A man has died "unexpectedly" at a leisure centre in Hornchurch this morning, the Metropolitan Police have said.
Officers were called at around 9.03am today (April 25) to reports of a person being unwell at Harrow Lodge Leisure Centre in Hornchurch Road.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but despite the best efforts of the medics and the centre staff, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said his next of kin have been informed.

His death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious, the force added.
Following the incident, the pool and the café at the leisure centre have been shut but are expected to reopen later today.
Havering Council said that the rest of the centre remains open.
An LAS spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.33am today (25 April) to reports of a person unwell at Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in approximately three minutes.
“Very sadly, despite the efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
