A green space deemed as an area which could benefit from a spring clean has been visited by the borough's mayor.
Islington Green in Angel was the site of a community clean up, attended by the borough's mayor Gary Heather who joined in the efforts with volunteers.
The event, a led by Cllr Heather and Angel Business Improvement District (BID), an organisation which seeks to improve the borough's town centres, was hosted on April 16 this year.
The green was chosen by organisers as an area that could benefit from a spring clean and the addition of fresh flowers and plants.

This was done ahead of a predicted spell of warmer weather, with more outdoor events expected from May onwards.
The "Angel Spring Clean Up" was part of an effort to make Islington more sustainable and appealing to residents and businesses.
Past events have included litter picks, cleaning street furniture, repairing broken installations and planting trees.
It was organised by American fast food chain McDonald's.
