A person has been taken to hospital with life-changing injuries after being hit by a train at Ladywell station.
A casualty on the tracks was reported to police in Railway Terrace just before 8.45pm on May 18.
The person was taken to hospital where their injuries were assessed as life-changing but not life-threatening.
Southeastern Railway confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that all lines were closed after a person was hit by a train.
Trains were unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes as the incident was being dealt with.
The lines reopened just after 9.50pm and all disruptions were cleared at around 11.30pm.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Ladywell railway station at around 8.42pm on Saturday (18 May) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a person has been taken to hospital with life-changing but not life-threatening injuries.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious”
