TfL has issued a warning to DLR passengers about timetable changes on 20 separate dates throughout May and June.
On certain dates, DLR services will conclude an hour ahead of time. These dates are as follows:
- Wednesday 29 May until Monday 3 June
- Thursday 6 until Monday 10 June
- Wednesday 12 until Saturday 15 June
- Friday 21 until Tuesday 25 June
This period of work will enable track milling - essential for maintaining smooth, reliable journeys for passengers.
This process hopes to reduce track noise, further enhancing the experience for both regular commuters and people living near the DLR lines.
A spokesperson for TfL said: “We'll do everything we can to minimise disruption to customers, but on some weekends we'll need to close sections of the railway to finish the DLR upgrade work.
“We apologise for any inconvenience.”
Since the beginning of May, a new DLR timetable has been launched, with TfL claiming it will create more frequent services and decrease wait times throughout the entire DLR network.
However, The Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal routes are temporarily running a two-car service on weekdays.
Plans are in place to reinstate the regular three-car service, once the phasing out of older trains has been completed, and new trains come into service later in 2024.
Despite these modifications, train frequencies and timing will remain consistent.
