The M25 at Junction 2 in Dartford will face a series of overnight closures this weekend for resurfacing works.

M25 Junction 2, at the Darenth Interchange, will be affected in both directions, with the closure of entry and exit slip roads, and link roads.

Drivers are urged to plan journeys in advance and to follow the designated diversion routes.

Regular updates and real-time traffic information can be found on the Traffic England website.

Saturday, June 1

The roundabout's Western Quadrant carriageway at Junction 2 will face closure in both directions, from 10pm on June 1 until 6am the next day.

Both, clockwise and anti-clockwise slip roads and link roads will also face closures from 10pm until 6am.

In the clockwise direction from Junction 2 to A2 Eastbound Darenth Interchange, the link road will be closed.

At the same time, in the anti-clockwise direction from Junction 2 to Junction 1B, the link road will face closure.

The M25 Junction 2 entry slip road and the exit slip road in the anti-clockwise direction will also be closed from 10pm on Saturday.

The closures are part of a resurfacing works scheme, replacing worn-out road surfaces.

Diversion are set to run via National Highways and Local Authority networks.

Sunday, June 2

The closures continue into Sunday, with both directions of the Western Quadrant carriageway at Darenth Interchange roundabout expected to face similar closures starting from 10.30pm and lasting until 5.30am on Monday, June 3.

Again, the link roads from Junction 2 to A2 Eastbound Darenth Interchange clockwise, and from Junction 2 to Junction 1B anti-clockwise will face closure.

The M25 Junction 2 entry and exit slip roads in the anti-clockwise direction will also be closed for a second night, from 10.30pm on Sunday until 5.30am the next day.

Just as with the previous night, these closures are part of the plans for the resurfacing works at M25 Junction 2.

The diversions will be guiding traffic through National Highways and Local Authority networks.
