Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 16, and several restaurants are getting ready to offer a dining experience for your dad or father figure.

From delicious starters to delectable desserts, these venues promise to keep the spirit of love and family alive.

Here are five places in Croydon getting ready to show their appreciation this Father’s Day:

Mr Fox

Mr Fox, a pub on 34 Surrey Street, has prepared a Father’s Day eating experience.

Mr Fox is optimising its traditional Sunday roast for all the fathers on their special day.

The starters consist of BBQ sweetcorn ribs with paprika aioli, and pan-seared scallops with a carrot puree and spinach.

Roasted crispy pork belly is on offer in their mains as well as roast beef with a side of herb-salted fries.

Father’s Day at Mr Fox will last from 12pm to 7pm.

The Crown

The Crown, on 28 Wickham Road, has a special three-course menu ready for Father’s Day.

The menu includes their fluffy crisp roasted potatoes, fresh roasted root vegetables, steamed greens, a Yorkshire pudding, with lemon thyme stuffing and a rich gravy.

The menu also includes tender beef rib, half-roast chicken, and hand-carved gammon.

Visitors can also enjoy a side of cauliflower cheese, stuffing wrapped in bacon, and Yorkshire Puddings for only £6.49.

The Father’s Day experience will take place between 11am and 11pm.

Rambler’s Rest

Rambler’s Rest, on Outwood Lane in Coulsdon, will be giving fathers a three-course meal at just £28.95.

The gastropub is serving their chipotle sticky chicken for starters, and their 30-day aged rib-eye steak.

Fathers can end their meal with The Rambler’s Rest’s desserts, from their chocolate bomb with chocolate brownies, Biscoff spread, ice cream, raspberries and chocolate sauce.

If you’re too full for a dessert, you can swap it with a cocktail, including an espresso or passion fruit martini.

Father’s Day at Rambler’s Rest will last from 1pm to 10pm.

Miller and Carter Steakhouse

Miller and Carter Steakhouse, on 1 Windmill Road, say they’re giving fathers a break from preparing the steak this year.

From June 14 to June 16, the Steakhouse are treating fathers to a Cornish salt-aged long-bone tomahawk at just £38.95.

The Steakhouse say the British and Irish steak have been expertly dry-aged for 30 days before being masterfully cut by hand.

The event will be a brunch experience with unlimited cocktails.

They will continue to serve their usual menu, which consists of pan-seared scallops with crispy maple-cured bacon and roasted apple puree, with banoffee pie for dessert.

The experience will last from 12pm to 11pm.

Aqua Bar and Grill

Last on our list is Aqua Bar and Grill, on 35 South End, which will be serving three courses at just £19.50.

Their starters include penne with meatballs, tossed in a tomato chilli and garlic sauce, and smoked duck breast, served with feta cheese, baby spinach, poached pear and balsamic dressing.

Their mains consist of beef, lamb, and even a slow braised pork belly with roasted potatoes, vegetables, and red wine jus.

And if fathers still have room after that, they can enjoy a vanilla pod pannacotta with a mixed berry compote, or an aqua sundae with brownies, ice cream, biscuits and cream.

The experience will last from 12pm to 9pm.
