A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash near Romford.

London Ambulance Service was called to Broxhill Road close to the junction with Willow Mead in Havering-atte-Bower at around 7.30am this morning (June 3).

An ambulance crew attended alongside Metropolitan Police, and treated a woman at the scene.

She was subsequently taken to a major trauma centre in London.

Havering Council posted to X following the crash, and said that Broxhill Road was closed in both directions.

The authority added that drivers should “avoid the area”, as the road was expected to remain shut for most of the morning.

Metropolitan Police have been contacted for more information about the incident.
