A petrol station in Collier Row has reopened after an electric car caught fire. 

Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were called to a petrol station in Collier Row Road at 3.06pm on June 7 after receiving reports of a fire . 

At the scene, they discovered an electric car had caught fire.

A 25 metre cordon was put in place as a precaution whilst the incident was dealt with, and people were told to avoid the area. 

Three fire engines from Romford and Dagenham fire stations were dispatched to the fire that left half of the electric car damaged. 

The Esso garage in Collier Row Road has confirmed they have reopened following the fire.
