Located in Ashford, Woodsman Kent Wild Camping is just 70 minutes away by car from south east London, with travel links to Pluckley from London Bridge station, which is a 40-minute walk to the campsite.

The campsite offers adults-only all year round wild camping, where you can camp in 100 acres of ancient Kent woodland.

The campsite was recently ranked as one of the best in the Kent region by outdoor accommodation booking website Pitchup.com.

To be considered in the review awards, campsites must have a minimum of 20 reviews in that year, and are scored out of ten.

The site offers basic amenities like a compost loo and water that can be purchased on site, for anyone looking for a truly wild-style camping experience.

The forests offer a variety of tree species to spot like birch, hawthorn, hazel and hornbeam, if you fancy exploring the arboreal landscape.

If you fancy a drink, head over to the Rose & Crown pub at Mundy Bois, which is just a 13-minute walk from the campsite.

This 17th century country pub serves a selection of drinks from ciders to beers, and three real ales brewed in Sussex, along with a menu of classic British fare like honey roasted ham, ploughman's lunch, and a homemade burger.

The campsite is located close to the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near the ancient village of Westwell which is a 15-minute drive from the campsite.

Wine enthusiasts can also explore the popular Westwell vineyards, known for producing a selection of sparkling and still wines, with tours and tasting sessions available for £25 a person.
