OpenTable has revealed its list of the 100 top outdoor restaurants in the UK and five south London restaurants have made the list.
The winning restaurants were scored based on data from over 2.2 million reviews on OpenTable from customers who had dined there.
On the list 10 London restaurants were named, with five in south London in the districts of London Bridge and Richmond.
London Bridge, with its bustling Borough Market and outdoor eateries, saw two restaurants make the list, while Richmond, with its leafy walks and countryside feel, featured three restaurants in this year's list.
These were this year's winners and why diners loved them:
Boro Bistro, London Bridge
For lovers of French cuisine, Boro Bistro was rated as one of the best outdoor spots, offering a “tiny slice of France” to Londoners.
With views of the historic Southwark Cathedral, this setting offers diners a chance to feast on tapas French dishes, along with a large wine list, in the restaurant's garden terrace with a vintage-inspired feel.
Dogs are also welcome and if you visit the restaurant on Thursdays they also host live music sessions.
Le Pont de la Tour, London Bridge
This restaurant has been hailed as one of London’s “most romantic” restaurants by OpenTable, and with its chic 30s décor and riverside views it's easy to see why.
Le Pont de la Tour, located in the Butlers Wharf Building, offers traditional French cuisine alongside cocktails and a good selection of wines.
The restaurant has an outdoor terrace offering incredible views of Tower Bridge, where you can order from a menu of French classics on the full menu or opt for a regional tasting experience for £80 a person.
Gaucho, Richmond
Located on the Thames, Gaucho’s popular Richmond branch, located in a boathouse with a waterside terrace, was highly ranked by diners for its scenic views.
The location serves a range of grilled dishes with a barbecue in place during the summer, with dishes ranging from steaks to British seafood.
If you visit the indoor dining room and bar you can see London from 360 degrees, or if you fancy dining outside with your dog you’ll find one of London’s oldest plane trees planted on the terrace.
They also offer a pre-theatre dining menu where you can get 3 courses for £30.
Petersham Nurseries Restaurant, Richmond
If you’re looking for a rustic dining experience with a lot of flowers, Petersham Nurseries Restaurant in the leafy suburbs of Richmond was a hit with OpenTable diners.
Situated within an elegant Victorian greenhouse with seasonal blooms and plants, this restaurant is an Instagrammer's dream and it's also dog-friendly.
The menu is a British and Italian fusion of dishes changing seasonally, using produce sourced from Haye Farm.
The restaurant offers a set menu starting at two courses for £65 up to four with a complimentary cocktail for £95.
The Britannia Restaurant, Richmond
The final south London on this year's list was independent restaurant and bar The Britannia.
Located off of Richmond Green, this location offers a roof terrace with traditional dining options, as well a garden where you can order light snacks and drinks.
The restaurant is also dog-friendly and serves dishes like fish and chips and grilled lobster, along with vegan-friendly dishes and a selection of steaks.
They also have a selection of wines showcasing vintages from around the world.
