London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a four-year-old child fell from a balcony in Belvedere.

The incident happened on the first floor of a home in Norman Road near Yarnton Way at 8.30pm on June 18.

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance were called to the scene.

An ambulance crew, paramedics in fast-response cars, and an incident response officer also attended.

The child was taken to hospital for treatment where their injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.26pm on Tuesday 18 June to reports of a fall on Norman Road, DA17.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first of our crews arrived at the scene in five minutes.

“We treated a child at the scene, before taking her to a major trauma centre, by road.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Tuesday, 18 June at 20:30hrs police were called to Norman Road, Belvedere following reports that a child had fallen from a height.

“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a four-year-old child after they had fallen from a first floor balcony.

“The child was taken to a near-by hospital where their injuries were confirmed to be non-life threatening/changing.

“There were no arrests.”
