A man from Eltham has been charged with multiple offences in connection with a number of robberies in London.
Thomas Loring, of Dunkery Road, was arrested on Wednesday, June 19 as police investigated the robberies.
The 40-year-old was charged with:
- Conspiracy to commit robbery between February 25, 2024, and June 19, 2024
- Conspiracy to steal between February 25, 2024 and June 19, 2024
- Robbery in Old Kent Road on June 19, 2024
- Possession of an offensive weapon
He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 21.
Loring has also been charged with possession of a class B drug.
James Dixon, of no fixed address, was also arrested on Wednesday, June 19 and faces the same charges.
One of the robberies in question occurred in Sydney Street, Chelsea on March 26.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that the “violent” incident involved two men entering a commercial property “armed with hammers”.
A spokesperson said that two men “damaged property outside the shop and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery”.
Three victims at the scene were taken to hospital after the robbery due to suffering non life-threatening injuries.
