A man was taken to the hospital following a crash near Croydon University Hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 10.05am today (June 28).
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before he was taken to a major trauma centre for more treatment.
The crash blocked off London Road in Thornton Heath and the road was blocked in both directions.
The closure on London Road, between Croydon University Hospital and Canterbury Road, led to six London buses being diverted: 60, 64, 109, 198, 250, and 289.
The incident is now finished and the road has reopened.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.05am to reports of a road traffic collision in London Road, CR7.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew. We treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a major trauma centre for treatment.”
