Armed Forces Day was marked with a parade through the streets of Romford.

The annual day celebrates those in the armed forces community and took place on Saturday (June 29).

It was commemorated in Romford by a parade, which started at 10.30am on South Street's junction with Arcade Place.

Havering Council said on X, formerly Twitter, that more than 300 veterans, cadets and current serving personnel marched in the parade.

Residents lined the town centre's streets to show their appreciation and support.

Havering's mayor Gerry O'Sullivan, who raised the Armed Forces Day outside the town hall last week, was in attendance.

Cllr O'Sullivan added: "From those currently serving, to veterans, cadets and service families, the sacrifice, hard work and courage our armed forces show in risking their lives to keep us safe should never be forgotten."
