A 14-year-old boy is being treated in hospital after a stabbing in Carshalton.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Peterborough Road yesterday (July 3) at around 5pm.
A 14-year-old boy was suffering from injuries.
He was taken to hospital and his condition is believed not to be life-threatening.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody as enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 5pm on Wednesday, July 3, to reports of a stabbing in Peterborough Road, Carshalton.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 14-year-old boy suffering injuries; he was taken to the hospital – his condition is not life-threatening.
“Two male were arrested on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody.
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD 5690/3Jul. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, MPS Sutton wrote: “On Wednesday, July 3, shortly before 5:00 pm, police were called to a stabbing at Poulter Park, Carshalton.
“Victim was taken to hospital, their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
“A suspect has been arrested and is in custody.
“If you have any information please call 101 giving CAD reference 5690/03JUL24.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.55pm on Wednesday 3 July to reports of a stabbing in Peterborough Road, Carshalton.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived on scene in one minute.
“We treated a teenager at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road as a priority.”
