THE FAMILY of a man who died after suffering serious injuries in Loughton has paid tribute to a “beautiful and kind-heated soul.”

Essex Police are continuing to investigate reports of a serious assault in Willingale Road on Wednesday, July 3.

Officers responded to a call at around 10.20pm to attend an address and found that a man had suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital, but sadly later died on Thursday July 4.

A police spokesman said: “Although formal identification has yet to take place, we are now in a position to name him as 60-year-old John Bain.

“His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.”

In a statement, his family said: “Our brother, John, will be remembered by us all as a beautiful and kind-hearted soul.

“He was known as Johnny to his friends and family.

“He will be sadly missed by us all.

“Fly high Johnny, we love you.”

Georgia Wildman, 30, or Mornington Road, Loughton, is charged with murdering John and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Monday July 8).

The spokesman continued: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would continue to appeal for anyone with information on this incident to get in touch.
