Don’t miss a game with all these free Olympic screenings in south London this summer.

The 2024 Olympic Games are set to take place in Paris from July 26 until August 11, with 327 Team GB athletes set to compete in the games.

With the summer in full swing, there are plenty of free venues where you can watch your favourite sports, from screenings at popular food markets to indoor screenings at a pub if the weather takes a turn.

Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich

Where? King William Lawn, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, SE10 9NN

What better location to watch the Olympics than one of its former hosting locations – Greenwich.

In 2012, Greenwich played host to the Olympic Games when the park was used to host the Equestrian tournaments and now the neighbouring Old Royal Naval College will be screening the games live from its lawn.

Visitors will be able to kick back and relax and watch their favourite sports on a large screen, amidst the surroundings of the UNESCO World Heritage Site with views of the Thames.

There will also be seating and tables if you fancy getting some food and drink from Karnival Food, which will be on-site serving a host of street food to grab and go.

Greenwich Market

Where? Fry's Court, Greenwich Market, Greenwich, SE10 9HZ

When? July 26 - August 11, 10am - 5pm

How much? Free

Another Greenwich location set to show the Olympics is the busy shopping location of Greenwich Market, where visitors can watch the two-week games at a giant screen in Fry’s Court.

Booking isn’t required and deck chairs will be available for visitors.

Afterwards why not do a spot of shopping in the market and grab some food from one of the many food vendors or nearby restaurants. 

The Artful Duke, Bromley

Where? 196 High Street, Bromley, London, BR1 1HE

When? July 26 - August 11

Bromley’s popular The Artful Duke pub will be showing a range of sports across the Olympics this summer on not one, not two, but three giant screens.

Booking is advised to secure a table to watch the games.

Summer By The River, South Bank

Where? The Scoop at More, London, SE1 2AA

There are pop-up bars and street food stalls dotted around the festival to keep you fed and watered as you cheer on your favourite athletes.

Moving over to south London, Battersea Power Station will be hosting a series of free events to celebrate the Olympic Games, including live screenings of the games over the two weeks it will be on.

Why not make a day of it and head into Battersea Power Station, where you can find a whole host of shops and restaurants, as well as Battersea’s Lift 109 offering 360-degree views of London from 109 metres in the air.
