Police have confirmed there are no updates on the discovery of possible organs in a container at a park in Sutton. 

The incident was first reported by a member of the public who discovered the container in Rosehill Park at around 4.30pm on July 24.

Officers say the content in the container was described to either belong to a human or an animal.

The container has now been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (July 26) that there have been no further updates on the investigation.

The original Metropolitan Police statement said: “Police were called at approximately 16:30hrs on Wednesday, 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton containing what was described as human or animal organs inside.

“The container has been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.

“A scene remains in place at the location and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
