Wetherspoons has revealed the reopening date for its Romford town centre pub, which has closed while works take place.

The Moon and Stars in South Street shut on July 1 and will reopen on October 22, a spokesperson for pub chain Wetherspoons said today (August 22).

A banner outside the pub had initially said it would reopen on July 30 - but this has been significantly put back.

A rebuilt and redesigned roof terrace, an increased customer area and structural changes are among planned works at the Romford 'Spoons.

This has partially been done to "allow natural light into the premises," the spokesperson said.

The roof terrace is set to open in mid-November.
